- Reviewing and approving the annual report prepared by the Management Committee.
- Reviewing and approving any changes to the Partnership, including the addition of new Partners, appointments to the Management Committee, and introduction of additional committees. The Board will review the committee structure after Year 2, and then periodically, to ensure that the committees are working effectively to achieve project objectives.
Management
The Management Committee includes the Project Director, four co-applicants, one or two collaborators, and an Early Career Researcher (ECR). The committee articulates and ensures compliance with principles for distributing funds, prepares an annual project report for Board review, and reviews the quarterly reports of the other committees. In Year 1, the Management committee will conduct the search for post-doctoral researchers, and in consultation with the Academic and ECR committees review and allocate funds for projects to support student RAs.
In Year 1, the committee members are: Lisa Shapiro (SFU), Marguerite Deslauriers (McGill), Karen Detlefsen (Penn), Dalia Nassar (Sydney), and Anne-Lise Rey (Nanterre), and collaborators Liz Milewicz (librarian at Duke) and Julia Borcherding (Cambridge).

The Academic Committee solicits and review applications to Partnership activities, including conferences, intensive seminars, and workshops. Normally, its composition will rotate annually to include the organizers of these activities, as well as collaborators and an ECR. The committee will report its activities to the Management committee quarterly.
As events of year 1 have been postponed, the Academic Committee will be consulting with the Management and ECR Committees about projects to support research, especially that of early career researchers.

Early Career Researcher (ECR)
The Early Career Researcher Committee develops resources to support early career researchers, including recommendations regarding mentorship, student training and networking, as well as guidelines regarding student inter-institutional exchange.
In the context of Covid-19, the ECR committee is taking the lead in proposing activities to involve Early Career Researchers interacting remotely, and it is organizing monthly work-in-progress seminars, which will begin meeting in October.
The committee will be the initial point of contact for any ECR-related issues that may arise that are not resolvable with the supervisor. The committee will include at least two co-applicants, a post-doctoral ECR, and at least one other ECR member. It will report quarterly to the Management Committee.

The initial committee consists of: Patricia Sheridan (Guelph, Editor in Chief), Corey Dyck (Western), and Marie-Frédérique Pellegrin (Lyon 3), as well as Katarina Peixoto (UERJ, ECR) and Amber Griffioen (Konstanz, ECR). They will continue to serve on this committee at least until the editorial practices of the journal are well established and two annual issues have been realized. The committee will report its activities to the Management committee quarterly while the journal is being developed and annually after the journal is launched.
